Religions: Do They Truly Represent God?

Mankind has long been made to believe that the authorities regarding God’s word in the Bible are the Churches and their religious pastors. That they were given the right by God to decide who will enter the so-called “heaven” that they preach or who will be condemned to suffer eternal torment in what they call “hell.”

The Catholic Church claim that they were given this authority by God when Jesus - (the one they preach as God’s only begotten “Son”) gave his apostle Peter keys to the Kingdom of heaven. We can read this event in:

“And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 16:18-19 NIV

What Jesus (the so-called Son of God), said to Peter is considered the foundation of the authority of the Churches to explain God’s word.

This is where the Catholic Church derives its authority as to who will be canonized as a Saint in heaven (where God resides) for its believers to revere. This action makes it appear that they are more powerful than God as they are the one who decides who will be venerated by humanity as a Saint and not God.

Other religious denominations like the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC - a Philippine-based Christian denomination) instill fear in their members by teaching that if they do not totally obey their church’s guidelines they will be cast out of the church. Outside the INC, their access to heaven (when they die) is denied. According to their teaching, Jesus died a brutal death for the sins of humanity so that they may enter heaven. You begin to wonder and ask: “What right does the leadership of the INC have that they can deny their members access to heaven?”

The head of the INC (Iglesia ni Cristo) makes it appear that he is more powerful than Jesus since he himself has authority to decide who may enter heaven or not! This is certainly another form of deception that INC members accept blindly because of “faith”.

The authority that Jesus gave Peter (in Matthew 16:17-18) only shows that the churches have the right to wield such power - even if the act is defying God, since they derived their authority from Peter.

However, what the churches and the religions did not tell us is what happened next after Jesus gave authority to Peter.

“Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.”
Matthew 16:23 (NIV)

Jesus calls Peter as “Satan?”

Let us remember that it was Peter who said in Matthew 16:17 that Jesus is the son of God and Jesus rewarded him afterwards with such great authority. Eventually, Jesus called Peter as Satan or a deceiver.

Since the churches derive their authority from Peter whom Jesus called as Satan or a deceiver, we should now have the duty to question these churches and their so-called authority from God!

The mere fact that Jesus called Peter as ‘Satan’ casts doubt on what Peter had said that Jesus is the son of God and on all that they (apostles) had written about Jesus. Did they really write the truth about why God sent Jesus in their gospels and epistles or did they twist the word of God in the scriptures to hide why God had Jesus punished by men?

This article is not about testing your religious faith! It is not promoting a new religion but merely a message or “food for thought” to provoke you to think about the teachings of the churches. Do they truly represent the teachings of God or the teachings of Satan?

Let us start with today’s reality:

The religions continue to preach that God is reigning gloriously and peace is upon the earth and yet in many places in the world there are all kinds of calamities, wars, famine & drought, disasters, economic crises, and environmental degradation in land, sea and air, that are happening and getting worse? When disasters strike, the religions tell us to pray to God and ask for deliverance, yet the disasters become more severe and frequent and occurs with almost no warning.

Religions will tell us that all these events are tests of the strength our faith in what they preach about God. However, did God say that we will suffer these catastrophes for our faith to be tested?

What was decreed before by God as to why we are going to experience these sufferings

See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse- the blessing if you obey the commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the LORD your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known.
Deuteronomy 11:26-28 (NIV)

Here, the prophet Moses speaks on behalf of God. We were given a choice to receive a blessing from God if we OBEY His commands or a curse from God if we disobey God’s commands and follow other gods which we have not known.

From the book of Genesis, Adam and his wife Eve lived under God’s law in Genesis 2:16-17 which means that God gave man “free will” to choose how to live their lives. It only shows that God does not control the way one wants to live one’s life. Man can enjoy a good and happy life if he follows God’s commandments and will suffer pain and hardships if he will disobey God and worship other unknown gods.

What people need to understand about God’s laws is that He gave us these laws to guide us on how we can live a peaceful life on earth. By giving us His laws He had completely fulfilled His responsibility to us as our Creator just as a parent fulfills his/her responsibility of guiding his/her children in how to be a better person.

Today, countries are experiencing different forms of misfortunes - war, famine, disaster, pestilence, and worsening economic crises among other sufferings. We can no longer find a single country that is not suffering from any of these conditions. These are signs that the world is truly cursed by God because we did not follow His true commandments and worship false gods. It is not because God tests us in our faith in these religions!

This indicates and supports the fact that we do not call on (His) God’s real and true Name.

Is this true?

Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you,
on the kingdoms that do not call on your name;
Psalm 79:6 (NIV)

As stated in the above Bible passage, the painful reality why God does not hear the prayers of the people and is now pouring out His wrath is that we do not call on His real and true Name.

How did the Churches make humanity not call on the real name of God and worship a false god?

They did it by making humanity worship the “Jesus” presented by the apostles in their writings in what they claim as the “New testament”

Think about it!

How can the real God answer the prayers of the people when they are worshiping 'Jesus' who cried out and complained that he was forsaken by God? (Matthew 27:46)

As long as people worship and revere the 'Jesus' taught by the religions, the more God will make these disastrous events continue to happen.

Be informed about the real word of God as to why He had sent Jesus:

“When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.

The promise given to David - a descendant will come from his bloodline. What would be the work of the descendant?

“He is the one who will build a house for my Name,
and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever...”
II Samuel 7:13 (NIV)

The first choice was King Solomon - a “real son” or descendant of David. King Solomon built the house with the Name of God. (1 Chronicles 22:9-13)

What was the promise of God?

“I will be his father, and he will be my son. WHEN HE DOES WRONG, I WILL PUNISH HIM WITH A ROD WIELDED BY MEN, WITH FLOGGINGS INFLICTED BY HUMAN HANDS –
II Samuel 7:14 (NIV)

“WHEN HE DOES WRONG” – the descendant of David would be punished. King Solomon was not punished with “chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men", (I kings 11:1-13, v.41-43). We do know that Jesus was punished in that manner.

In the said verses: 2 Samuel 7:12-14 (NIV) – we can read that God speaks of a coming offspring of David and not a literal "son of God" as the religions preaches.

Is it really true that Jesus was a descendant of David?

…to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph,
a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
Luke 1:27 (NIV)

Jesus' real and true father is Joseph who belongs to the house of David. Thus, if we are to believe the teaching of the religions that Jesus is the “son of God,” then it should be Mary who should belong to the house of David.

To insist that Jesus’ father is God and not Joseph is to make it appear that God broke His own law in:

If a man happens to meet in a town a virgin pledged to be married and he sleeps with her, you shall take both of them to the gate of that town and stone them to death - the young woman because she was in a town and did not scream for help, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.
Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NIV

Mary was already pledged to be married to Joseph, of the house of David. What these Christian preachers claim that God made a woman who’s already pledged to be married to another man be pregnant with His “son” is a lie as they made it appear that God is an unrighteous and immoral god.

The religious preachers insist that Mary is of the line of David making it appear that God chose a woman of the house of David who will bear His son thus fulfilling the prophecy in 2 Samuel 7:12-14.

However, if we read what God said in the prophecy we can understand that Mary is not a descendant of David:

When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom.

God clearly says that the “anointed one” will be of David’s own flesh and blood. This means that the coming savior is not His Son but a factual offspring or descendant of David. The religions are wrong in saying that Mary is of the line of David because, if she was, then God’s word in the prophecy should be “I will raise my offspring from your flesh and blood”. This denotes that God will raise His son out of Mary, who these preachers claim was David’s descendant.

Since God said “I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood”. It cannot be denied that Mary is not of the line of David. Joseph, as the chosen one according to God’s word is a genuine descendant of David.

Does God speak lies like a man?

God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 23:19 NIV

God does not lie like humans do! God will not break His righteous decree and therefore did not make Mary pregnant with His son. Nor will He make Himself a man otherwise He will become a liar.

To believe that such an immoral act of making a woman (already betrothed to be married to another man) pregnant with His “son” can be done by God, it is now very understandable why God had allowed us to suffer all these evils in the world.

and you are to give him the name Jesus

And who was Jesus' father?

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.
Luke 1:32 (NIV)

"will be called" – as you have read it, Jesus was only a son or a descendant of David not a real “son of God", he was just a man.

“The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.” – It is very clear; it is David that Jesus was descended from - meaning that he (Jesus) is not a real Son of God as the religions had preached.

The phrase “will be called the Son of the Most High" is the same title that God had first spoken about Solomon in:

“But you will have a son who will be a man of peace and rest, and I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side. His name will be Solomon, and I will grant Israel peace and quiet during his reign. He is the one who will build a house for my Name. He will be my son, and I will be his father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’”

If this prophecy in 2 Samuel 7:12-14 was successfully fulfilled by Solomon, as Christian preachers say and was never passed to Jesus, then it is Solomon who should be considered as the true SON of God as per God’s promise in 1 Chronicles 22:9-10 and not Jesus.

In fact, had King Solomon been able to carry out his own task, there would have been no need for Jesus to be born and sent to the Israelites!

Jesus was the chosen one from the line of David to make known the Name of God through the house that King Solomon had built. When he succeeds in making his people understand the Name of God thru that House, God’s curse upon His people Israel will be lifted. Their sins will be forgiven by God. Jesus will sit on the throne of David as King of Israel and only then will he be considered or will be called as a “Son of God”.

Is Jesus a son of David? Let us read in:

We can see that the prophecy in 2 Samuel 7:12-14 about a coming descendant of David and not a son of God has been fulfilled. Jesus’ task is to introduce the Name of God?

“Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

Or in another version:

O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”

The question is – what is the Name of God that Jesus taught or declared to us?

The answer is NONE - which signifies that he failed in his mission.

What is the proof?

Referring the prophecy in II Samuel 7:12-14: that if the descendant of David commits a wrong or an iniquity, he will be punished with the rod of men. The implication that Jesus was flogged with the rod of men shows that he committed iniquity.

Was Jesus, the descendant of King David punished by the rod and floggings of men?

All the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!"
Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and
handed him over to be crucified.

Indeed, Jesus was flogged by men, as God stated in His prophecy in 2 Samuel 7:12-14 - “I will be his father, and he will be my son. WHEN HE DOES WRONG, I WILL PUNISH HIM WITH A ROD WIELDED BY MEN, WITH FLOGGINGS INFLICTED BY HUMAN HANDS”.

It is time to open YOUR EYES and UNDERSTAND what God clearly said!

Did God say in His prophecy that the descendant of David (who is Jesus) - will be flogged by men for the sins of mankind or for his (Jesus) own wrongdoing?

Are the religions and the Apostles right in preaching that Jesus was flogged for our sins when we read God’s own words in 2 Samuel 7:12-14?

No, because God clearly said that such floggings will happen to David’s descendant (Jesus) once he commits wrong. Therefore, Jesus’ brutal and humiliating death is the undeniable proof that he failed in his mission and not for mankind’s salvation.

One of the greatest wrongs that Jesus did was:

““And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
Matthew 16:18 NIV

Jesus was sent by God to lead his people to the house with the Name of God that was built by King Solomon. Instead, he built another house in his own name. Jesus had put up his own church which was not part of his work as specified in the prophecies. This deception was used as the foundation of faith of the many religions. By building a church in his own name, Jesus had made himself to be known as a god rather than making his fellow Israelites know the true name of God!

This is why Jesus called Peter as Satan (Matthew 16:23) because Peter was the one used by the devil to trick Jesus into proclaiming himself as a literal Son of God and building a church in his own name. Jesus realized later that Peter was used by Satan to deceive him, but that comprehension came too late. He had already committed the “wrong”!

The Catholic Church perfected that deception when they made images and statues of a brutally tortured Jesus on the cross. This image portrays to their followers that it was for their sins that Jesus suffered such pain and torture. The truth is that it was for his (Jesus’) own wrongdoing. Not only did the Church defied God when it made idols but also by making it appear that God is a weak god who has to sacrifice Jesus for the sins he did not commit.

How do we know that God will not sacrifice His servants?

The next day Moses said to the people, "You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin. "So Moses went back to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin - but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."

“They have made themselves gods of gold” - just like the Catholic Church did. Not only gold but also of wood, resin and metal. This does not mean that Catholic Church alone is guilty of this great sin. The other Christian churches are as guilty as the Catholic churches since they have indoctrinated and impressed upon their members that Jesus is their own personal god and savior.

“blot me out of the book you have written.” - This book that Moses pertains to is none other than what God commanded him to write. These were the first five books of the Holy Scriptures (Genesis to part of Deuteronomy). Moses was willing to have his name blotted out of the scriptures in exchange for the salvation of his sinful people.

Moses tried to atone for the sins of the people. The request of Moses was great, that he even offered his life to atone for the sins of his people, but what did God say to him?

The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin."

God did not let Moses atone for the sins of his people. Whoever sins will answer God for it, and there will be a time for judgment. God says, He will send an "angel" when the time is near.

Why did God not allow Moses to die for the sins of the people Israel?

Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sin.
Deuteronomy 24:16 (NIV)

"each is to die for his own sin" - each man will answer for his own sin. No one is to be punished for another's sin. This is why God did not allow Moses to die for the sins of others because of this law.

If Moses was not allowed by God to atone for the sins of his people, how much more is it with Jesus?

The doctrine of the religions that Jesus has saved the world of its sins is a lie!

For the religions to indoctrinate us that God supposedly allowed a “sinless” Jesus to die for us is to make God a liar. Religions made it appear that God broke His own law in Deuteronomy 24:16 and even made HIM an unrighteous God because He allowed a so-called sinless man to be killed like a "beast" for the sins of others.

More importantly how can Jesus intercede, when his floggings were a fulfillment of God's punishment about him as written in 2 Samuel 7:14:

The religions made us worship Jesus who – (based on God’s prophecy in 2 Samuel 7:12-14) was punished by God for his own wrongdoing and not for our sins as the apostles claim. It is clear that we were taught by the religions a fallacy about God.

This is why God does not hear the prayer of the peoples of the world for peace but continues to let mankind suffer from all these curses, these wars and disasters because they are calling on a false god made by the apostles and the religions!

Since you were made to believe (by the false teachings of the apostles) that by calling on Jesus you are calling on God's name, it is only appropriate that you should know the real identity of Jesus based on God's words. Why He had sent Jesus and why you should not call on Jesus anymore.

The “Flying Scroll”, as explained by Maestro Evangelista is the sign of the curse that has been set upon the world by God.

The meaning of the "flying scroll" will be revealed, not in Zechariah’s time, but in our present “technological” era. It symbolizes the advanced system of communications – the satellite communications, the internet, the cable TV network and other new technologies which did not exist in Zechariah’s time. Zechariah, during his time, was just given the privilege to see a glimpse of the future.

When Zechariah was asked about the “Flying scroll” he can only describe it in the vocabulary or his intellect during his time. Hence the image of a “Flying scroll” was used. This means that the prophecy is not to happen in Zechariah’s time.

What is the meaning of the revelation?

And he said to me, “This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according

The meaning of the “flying scroll” was the curse given by God concerning the “thief” and those who “swear falsely”.

Who are they and what will happen to them in time?

The LORD Almighty declares, ‘I will send it out, and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of him who swears falsely by my name. It will remain in his house and destroy it, both its timbers and its stones.’ ”

The Curse, according to Maestro Evangelista, is directed to the thieves and to those who swear falsely in God’s Name! As prophesied, all these will perish at an appointed time and all their houses will be destroyed.
