The Commandments of God
Revealed on August 22, 2005
The last prophecy in
the last book of the Old Testament pertains to:
"Remember the
law of my servant Moses,
the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb for all Israel.
Malachi 4:4 (NIV)
God gave the
Laws/Commandments to Moses, for all to know and understand,
that these decrees and laws are for our sake.
THE
TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOD
Let us read it:
"You shall
have no other gods before me.
"You shall not
make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the
earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or
worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the
children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of
those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who
love me and keep my commandments.
"You shall not
misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone
guiltless who misuses his name.
"Observe the
Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you. Six
days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath
to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your
son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your
donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your
manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do. Remember that you were
slaves in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a
mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Therefore the LORD your God has
commanded you to observe the Sabbath day.
"Honor your
father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you
may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God
is giving you.
"You shall not
murder.
"You shall not
commit adultery.
"You shall not
steal.
"You shall not
give false testimony against your neighbor.
"You shall not
covet your neighbor's wife. You shall not set your desire on your neighbor's
house or land, his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything
That belongs to your neighbor”.
Deuteronomy 5:7-21 (NIV)
These are the Ten
Commandments of God, because:
For the LORD
is our judge,
the LORD is our lawgiver,
the LORD is our king;
it is he who will save us.
Isaiah 33:22 (NIV)
God is indeed our
Lawgiver, and no one else. In obedience to the Commandments, we will be blessed
and saved.
THE
BREAKING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD
What did Jesus do to
God's Great Commandments?
Hearing that Jesus
had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert
in the law, tested him with this question:
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "
'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second
is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets
hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:34-40 (NIV)
The anger of God
burned great against Jesus; he reduced the Commandments of God to two. How did
he really break the Commandments?
Let us first know,
how God treats His people if they continue to obey His Commandments.
but showing
love to a thousand generations of those
who love me and keep my commandments.
Deuteronomy 5:10 (NIV)
Jesus should have
obeyed the Commandments of God. What commandments in particular?
"You shall not
misuse the name of the LORD your God,
for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
Deuteronomy 5:11 (NIV)
This Commandment was
given so that we may keep the Name of God from being profaned. God wants us to
give respect for His Name. The other commandment broken:
THE
SABBATH
Let us read about the
Commandment of God regarding the Sabbath:
"Observe the
Sabbath day by keeping it holy,
as the LORD your God has commanded you.
Deuteronomy 5:12 (NIV)
How important is the
Sabbath?
But for the
sake of my name I did what would keep it from being profaned in the eyes of
the nations they lived among and in whose sight I had revealed myself to the
Israelites by bringing them out of Egypt. Therefore I led them out of Egypt
and brought them into the desert. I gave them my decrees and made known to
them my laws, for the man who obeys them will live by them. Also I gave them
my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the LORD made
them holy.
Ezekiel 20:9-12 (NIV)
The Sabbath is a
blessing given by God to His people. What did Jesus do to the Sabbath?
Indignant
because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the
people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days,
not on the Sabbath". The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of
you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to
give it water? Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan
has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from
what bound her?"
Luke 13:14-16 (NIV)
He broke the Sabbath;
he had defied the Commandment of God. What other things did Jesus do on the
Sabbath Day?
One Sabbath,
when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being
carefully watched. There in front of him was a man suffering from dropsy.
Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it lawful to heal on
the Sabbath or not?" But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he
healed him and sent him away. Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son
or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately
pull him out?" And they had nothing to say.
Luke 14:1-6 (NIV)
This is the argument
used by Jesus to dishonor and challenge the Sabbath, a Commandment of God.
Maestro Eraño M. Evangelista says: Jesus can cure from the first to the sixth day of the week.
Why did Jesus have to cure people on the Sabbath, the seventh day? Can’t he wait
for another day and obey the Commandment of God by observing the Sabbath?
If Jesus was really
obedient to God, he should have taught them:
Observe the
Sabbath day by keeping it holy, as the LORD your God has commanded you. Six
days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath
to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your
son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox, your
donkey or any of your animals, nor the alien within your gates, so that your
manservant and maidservant may rest, as you do.
Deuteronomy 5:12-14 (NIV)
Indeed, Jesus broke the Sabbath. It can no longer be denied by anyone. On the
day of Sabbath, any work on that day will not be allowed.
Maestro says, even if
an ox falls in a well, you are to do nothing. Just leave it, it is the law. It
should not happen (for the ox to fall) if you have secured all the animals in
your stead the day before. All should rest on the day of Sabbath. Maestro says,
when it is said "all", it means that the whole world should rest.
How can you rest and
have peace when your neighbors and other people are not resting?
What happened after
Jesus has broken the commandments and reduced it to two?
Some of the
Pharisees said, "This man is not from God, for he does not keep the
Sabbath." But others asked, "How can a sinner do such miraculous signs?"
So they were divided.
John 9:16 (NIV)
This is the true
character of Jesus as seen by his people during his time, as he relates to the
Commandments of God.
People were divided
over Jesus, because he is the one who brought division to his people. It would
seem he is giving them something new, but in reality it is the complete reversal
of the Commandments of God.
This is the deception
of Jesus.
For the Jews, the day
of rest is Saturday; for the Christians, Sunday and for the Muslims, on Friday.
That is why the world is not peaceful.
What did Jesus bring
to us and to the world?
"I have come
to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I
have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is completed! Do
you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From
now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three
against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son
and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother,
mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against
mother-in-law."
Luke 12:49-53 (NIV)
Jesus brought
division – every time he goes to appear before his people, discord sets in.
Jesus had broken the Sabbath.
What were the
repercussions when Jesus broke the Sabbath, and when others soon followed him?
This is what
the Sovereign LORD showed me: a basket of ripe fruit.
Amos 8:1 (NIV)
In another
translation…
Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer
fruit.
Amos 8:1 (King James Version)
“summer” – a time of
economic crisis
What did God tell His
people when they broke the Sabbath?
"What do you
see, Amos?" he asked. "A basket of ripe fruit," I answered.
Then the LORD said to me, "The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will
spare
them no longer. "In that day," declares the Sovereign LORD, "the songs in
the temple will turn to wailing. Many, many bodies - flung everywhere!
Silence"!
Amos 8:2-3 (NIV)
Another version:
And he said,
Amos, what seest thou? And I said a basket of summer fruit. Then said the
LORD unto me, the end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again
pass by them anymore. And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that
day, saith the Lord GOD: there shall be many dead bodies in every place;
they shall cast them forth with silence.
Amos 8:2-3 (KJV)
“I will not again
pass by them any more” – Maestro Evangelista says, God has forsaken them. See
what has been happening in Israel and Palestine. There is no peace even up to
our present generation.
What did God do to
them?
Hear this, you
who trample the needy and do away with the poor of the land,
saying, "When will the New Moon be over that we may sell grain, and the
Sabbath
be ended that we may market wheat"? Skimping the measure, boosting the price
and cheating with dishonest scales, buying the poor with silver and the
needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.
The LORD has sworn by the Pride of Jacob: "I will never forget anything they
have done. "Will not the land tremble for this, and all who live in it
mourn?
The whole land will rise like the Nile; it will be stirred up and then sink
like the river of Egypt. "In that day," declares the Sovereign LORD,
"I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.
I will turn your religious feasts into mourning and all your singing into
weeping.
I will make all of you wear sackcloth and shave your heads.
I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a
bitter day.
"The days are coming," declares the Sovereign LORD,
"when I will send a famine through the land - not a famine of food or a
thirst for water,
but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
Men will stagger from sea to sea and wander from north to east,
searching for the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
"In that day "the lovely young women and strong young men will faint because
of thirst.
They who swear by the shame of Samaria, or say, 'As surely as your god
lives, O Dan,'
or, 'As surely as the god of Beersheba lives' - they will fall,
never to rise again."
Amos 8:4-14 (NIV)
Because of their
impatience with the Sabbath, they will thirst for the Word of God.
How important is the Sabbath?
Then the LORD said to
Moses, "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a
sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am
the LORD, who makes you holy. " 'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must
be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his
people. For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of
rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to
death. The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the
generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the
Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and
on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested'. " When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two
tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
Exodus 31:12-18 (NIV)
Since Jesus
defied God’s commandments, especially the Name and the Sabbath, there is more
reason for his punishment.
The Sabbath, a sign
of the perpetual covenant between God and man; and in order to show
how important the Sabbath is to all, God was the first to observe it.
What is the
invitation of God to all men? Which country will observe the Sabbath if God is
no longer with his former people?
You will leave
your name to my chosen ones as a curse;
the Sovereign LORD will put you to death,
but to his servants he will give another name.
Whoever invokes a blessing in the land
will do so by the God of truth;
he who takes an oath in the land will swear by the God of truth.
For the past troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my eyes.
"Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered,
nor will they come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create,
for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.
I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people;
the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.
"Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days,
or an old man who does not live out his years;
he who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth;
he who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.
They will build houses and dwell in them;
they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
No longer will they build houses and others live in them,
or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree,
so will be the days of my people;
my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands.
They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune;
for they will be a people blessed by the LORD,
they and their descendants with them.
Before they call I will answer;
while they are still speaking I will hear.
Isaiah 65:15-24 (NIV)
All nations will come
to this new city of God, the "New Jerusalem" – not to the former people of God.
What will be given to
the new city of God?
I will rejoice
over Jerusalem and take delight in my people;
the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.
Isaiah 65:19 (NIV)
"Jerusalem" - God
will bless the New Jerusalem.
Why is the Sabbath a
“sign” from God? Let us read it again:
It will be a sign between me and the
Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and
on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested'." When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two
tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
Exodus 31:12-18 (NIV)
The Sabbath – The
sign that we really know God is when we know His Name and we observe the
Sabbath.
The religions do rest
on other days and still call on Jesus; the man who broke the Sabbath. Do you
think God is happy about it?
If the Sabbath will
be found in the "islands," it would mean that the Jews are no longer God’s
people?
Since God has left
his former people, who will be the new people of God?
THE
NEW PEOPLE OF GOD
"Awake, O sword,
against my shepherd, against the man who is close to me!" declares the LORD Almighty. "Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be
scattered, and I will turn my hand against the little ones. Zechariah 13:7 (NIV)
“Shepherd” – we
already know that this is Jesus.
“sheep” – Jesus’
apostles
“little ones” – the
religions
In the whole
land," declares the LORD,
"two-thirds will be struck down and perish;
yet one-third will be left in it.
Zechariah 13:8 (NIV)
They will be
destroyed in time. What will happen to the third part, who are they?
This third I
will bring into the fire;
I will refine them like silver and test them like gold.
They will call on my name and I will answer them;
I will say, 'They are my people,'
and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.' "
Zechariah 13:9 (NIV)
They will be
acknowledged by God when they call on His Name. They are the same people who
will have the real Sabbath, because they know the true Name of God. Unlike the
old people of God, although they have Sabbath, they didn’t know His Name.
Will the Name of God
be known among the people of the world?
The LORD will be king
over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.
Zechariah 14:9 (NIV)
Since the people were
thirsty for the Word of God, what is God’s message to us?
"Come, all you who
are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread,
and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,
and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Isaiah 55:1-2 (NIV)
The Word of God – the
teachings that you are reading are from Maestro Eraño M. Evangelista are given for
free! The religions still ask for offerings and many things in return.
Give ear and come to
me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you,
my faithful love promised to David. Isaiah 55:3 (NIV)
Maestro Eraño M.
Evangelista is the "prophet" who will fulfill the prophecies and holds the
"key
of David."
See, I have made him
a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander of the peoples. Surely you will summon nations you know not,
and nations that do not know you will hasten to you, because of the LORD your God,
the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor."
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher
than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign,
which will not be destroyed." Isaiah 55:4-13 (NIV)
What does God wants
us to observe?
This is what the LORD
says:
"Maintain justice and
do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this,
the man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it,
and keeps his hand from doing any evil." Let no foreigner who has bound himself to the LORD say,
"The LORD will surely exclude me from his people." And let not any eunuch complain, "I am only a dry tree."
For this is what the LORD says: "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, who choose what pleases me
and hold fast to my covenant - to them I will give within my temple and its
walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off.
And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship him,
all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to my covenant - these I will bring to my holy mountain
and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar;
for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations." The Sovereign LORD declares - he who gathers the exiles of Israel:
"I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."
Isaiah 56:1-8 (NIV)
The Name of God and
the Sabbath – the true sign of the people of God!
“my house” - The
House of Israel, it will be a new people, the teaching and the Name of God will
be in the hearts and minds of His people who are in the "islands."
Regarding the
fulfillment of the prophecies of God, shall we stand still and do nothing?
"Shout it aloud, do
not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion
and to the house of Jacob their sins. For day after day they seek me out;
they seem eager to know my ways, as if they were a nation that does what is right
and has not forsaken the commands of its God. They ask me for just decisions
and seem eager for God to come near them. 'Why have we fasted,' they say,
'and you have not seen it? Why have we humbled ourselves, and you have not noticed?'
"Yet on the day of your fasting, you do as you please and exploit all your workers.
Isaiah 58:1-3 (NIV)
This is the message
that God is giving to us through His prophet, Maestro Evangelista, so that by
this message all men may come and be united with God and receive the Blessing
and not the Curse.
